Cookie policy

A simpler website, with less tracking.

What this website stores, what Cloudflare needs to deliver it securely, and what may happen when you use an external service.

01

Current website

Essential operation only

The main Merchant’s House website does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking, analytics cookies or a local-storage shopping basket.

No marketing profiles

Your browsing on the main site is not used to build an advertising profile.

02

Hosting and protection

Cloudflare security

The website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security mechanisms to deliver pages, distinguish legitimate traffic, prevent abuse and maintain service reliability.

These mechanisms are operational rather than advertising tools. Cloudflare’s own privacy information applies to its processing as a service provider.

03

External services

When you follow a link or use the map

Beyonk

May use cookies or similar storage when you view or buy tickets or Friends membership.

Beacon

May use storage when you complete the hosted donation form.

Stripe

May use storage when you use the chimney appeal payment page.

OpenStreetMap

Receives the technical information needed to load the embedded contact-page map.

These services have their own notices and controls. Opening an external service is separate from browsing the main Merchant’s House pages.

04

Your controls

Browser and provider settings

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect external booking or payment functionality. Provider preference and consent tools should be used where offered.

If this changes, the policy changes first

If analytics, advertising or other non-essential storage is added later, the Trust will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism before that technology is enabled.
